Smoothie Bowls

Love smoothie Bowls, It just makes your smoothie more appetizing, gives it that bit of crunch. Yup, i don't know where they came from or who invented them, but its taken things to the next level.


I'm not going to lie, I've not always been a super huge fan of smoothies, they've always tasted a bit gross to me, except for the few my grandpa makes! Which is super weird because he put so much stuff in there, yet somehow it still tastes good? He has the magic touch when it comes to food though. If something seems gross to me ( like fish) i just go to my grandpa and he changes my whole world!


So I just opted for a bit of a traditional smoothie recipe and then say why not go crazy with the toppings


This can make it completely diverse and unique. You can change the flavor profile so easily with just a few different ingredients.


So Let's get to it!


Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl


Ingredients:

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 cup nut milk

  • 1 cup of mixed berries

  • 1 cup spinach

  • 1 scoop protein powder, vitamin powder ( i use organifi, or clearvite powder although it's a bit pricey but the benefits are amazing)


Topping Ingredients:

  • Banana,

  • Sliced Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries

  • Chia Seed

  • Granola

  • Unsweetened coconut flakes

  • Any type of nuts: slivered almonds, cashews, etc.


Directions:

  1. Blend the basic ingredients all together in a blender and adjust for sweetness by adding more banana, or more fruit for less sweetness, for creaminess consider adding more spinach.

  2. Decorate with banana coins, vertically sliced strawberries, chia seeds, granola, and unsweetened coconut flakes

  3. Enjoy!
