This is one of the very first recipes that made a healthy lifestyle possible for me!

In the beginning, eating healthy can be a struggle. I'm not going to lie and say it's easy.

There is a lot of messing up and then choosing to try again, so don't get discouraged. This is why I have chosen to have a preparatory phase in my Lishous program, to help people overcome the obstacles you hit before you even begin.

One of the things I always recommend to everyone is to make sure that you start off with the right mindset. And one of the ways I recommend doing this is by starting off with some meal experimentation.

This was one of the meals that made me feel like I could be healthy and still enjoy my food!

That is a HUGE win

It wards away falling off of the wagon when you feel deprived! As well as giving you a sense that it is not only possible to do this, but very realistic. It changes the game

So shout out to this recipe for being the burst of hope I needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle and not feel like I was missing out!

Made with nothing more than cocoa powder, dates, salt, and water, and then drizzled with peanut butter!

These are perfect for those vegans, plant-based eaters and anyone else craving a sweet treat. I love that they are so good for you.

What The Heck Dates?

A little word about dates, since they are the base of our recipe!

Dates, grown on date palm trees, are awesome sitting at 69 calories per Medjool date and 20 calories per delegate noor. Full fiber ( roughly 27% of daily value) they are a great substitute for high sugar treats. You can make a whole bunch out of dates. Caramels, pie crusts, you can stuff them, turn them into a paste and bake with them. The possibilities are endless.

Plus they will be one of our best friends, as the fiber helps to keep our blood sugar even instead of spiking. A nice even level is what helps contribute to our feeling great.
